Budjet Friendly Homeschooling Part 2

Writer's picture: Jessica BowmanJessica Bowman

I wanted to take some time to elaborate on last nights post. I received many questions about what supplies I typically buy throughout the year, and if the $300 was for each grade level or a combination.

To clarify, I spend roughly $300 for the whole year for all 3 grade levels. On average I buy the following items a couple times a year:

Pens/pencils

Construction paper

Notebook paper

Binders

Spiral notebooks

Journals

Graph paper

Art supplies (paint, glue, paint brushes, colored pencils, pastels, charcoals, etc.)

Easels

I also buy random items for projects that we do not have at home. Currently this year I have bought the following items for “special” projects:

Bluetooth amp (basic circuitry)

PVC

Nails (for pneumatic)

Laser

Wires, wire strippers

Chisels & files (woodworking)

Helping hands (circuitry, soldering )

Soldering iron

Sewing kits (Yes, the boys want to learn..they currently are making wallets using leather from my old purses)

Letter punches

There are also many items I buy that we use for particular science projects for common pantry items that were not so common in my house.

If you any other questions just let me know!

Thanks for the inquiries and Have a great night!
